Life was much more formal back then too.. who needs tea sets and large sets of china and all the accoutrements of an older, much more formal era? A lifestyle I certainly don't live anymore. Large dishes for big entertaining at home.. If anything I need less stuff and smaller stuff. Not raising a family with 6 kids here..

I wonder if you can help her find someone who would love these things? Buy Nothing groups are fabulous—goes to someone local, they pick it up, you just have to take a picture, post & negotiate the handoff. Likewise craigslist free listings. These personal handoffs might salve that hurt a little, esp if you helped <3
@susankayequinn @Nichelle the oldest of the kids is just hitting 30.. just getting old enough and stable enough in living situations and their careers to even begin to think long term about anything. Having nice things or whatever.
